Every first Monday of the month at 8:00 PM. Evangelical belief systems can convince us that there is only one correct way to view God. Join Tim and a guest as they walk through important theological topics and the various perspectives. Explore the rich and diverse sets of beliefs in the Christian tradition and perhaps rethink some of those “absolutes.”
Intro to Deconstruction
Every second Monday of the month at 8:00 PM. New to deconstruction or struggling to understand what is happening? While there is no one right way to do it, it’s good to know we aren’t alone. In this monthly informational meeting Tim talks about some commonalities of experience and walks you through the basics of deconstruction. Discover why it might be a gift and not a hell-bent path of destruction.
Every third Monday of the month at 8:00 PM. Conversation Circles are online facilitated discussions hosted by the New Evangelicals. Each drop in conversation is centered on a specific topic introduced by the facilitator. Participants are invited to dialogue and co-create a safe, respectful atmosphere where all are welcome. This is not meant to be a debate or in-depth theological discussion, but an exploration of issues that matter to the community as they deconstruct.
College Ministry Discussion
Every fourth Monday of the month at 8:00 PM. College ministry staff (whether paid or volunteer) and the students that were “all-in” have often experienced burnout from abusive practices. In this once-a-month discussion group, people can share their stories and discuss the harm and healing from college ministry involvement.
Book Club: Abuelita Faith
Every Sunday at 8:00 PM, May 1 – June 6. This spring, we’ll discuss Abuelita Faith by Kat Armas. The book explores the theology of often ignored but nonetheless impactful women. Join us as we get to know and learn from each other over these six weeks.
