Rev. Darrell Hamilton II

Darrell is an ordained Baptist minister and currently serving in Boston, Massachusetts as the Executive Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain. Darrell is originally from Edmond, Oklahoma, and received his M.Div degree from Wake Forest School of Divinity. Darrell hopes to use his background, education and ministry experience to serve the work of TNE.

Darrell is inspired by the scholarship of James Cone and Kelly Brown Douglas, and the ministries of Jeremiah Wright, Jr., Martin Luther King, Jr., William Barber, II, and others, and centers his life and ministry on advancing the liberation of all who, in the words of Kelly Brown Douglas, “have been marked black by oppression.”

Darrell is the father of Kaylani Rae Wilson-Hamilton, a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, and loves spending his spare time with his head in a book or his butt at the movies.
