Malynda is an award-winning actress, filmmaker, and activist who uses storytelling to spark change and elevate conversations around justice, faith, culture and human rights. She’s the owner of JMV Entertainment and a passionate voice for inclusive, diverse media.

Tim Whitaker
Founder & Creative Director
Tim grew up deeply rooted in evangelical spaces, but his questions and study eventually led to his exclusion from the church community he once called home. Now, he’s committed to uncovering the truth, amplifying marginalized voices, and holding toxic church systems accountable in pursuit of a more honest and expansive faith.

Project Manager
Cassidy brings 10+ years of digital marketing and project management experience to TNE, but more importantly, she’s someone who deeply cares about helping other people find and embrace their truest self.

Alden
Digital Media Manager
Alden brings experience in music, design, and corporate operations to TNE. After journeying out of evangelical worship spaces, he developed a commitment to helping others reimagine faith. He channels that passion into building digital strategies and storytelling rooted in empathy, justice, and belonging.

TNE Connect Community Director
After navigating exclusion from several church communities, Stephen’s deconstruction journey led him to reimagine life beyond traditional evangelicalism. Those experiences shaped his passion for helping others ask honest questions, find meaningful resources, and feel fully welcomed as they explore faith and belonging.

Social Media Manager
Anna is a songwriter and social media storyteller who blends musical creativity with digital strategy to help meaningful stories reach global audiences. Guided by curiosity and compassion, she spends her off-hours enjoying matcha or hanging out with her dog, Luke Skywalker.

Ellen
Editorial Manager
Ellen is a freelance copyeditor whose love for reading and learning led her to leave behind fundamentalist Christianity for a more free and inclusive faith. She now helps authors communicate their diverse perspectives with more clarity and fewer errors.

April is a content creator and podcast host who uses humor to challenge the harmful aspects of American Evangelicalism and Christian Nationalism. Drawing from her firsthand experience in conservative media, she now advocates for a more inclusive faith and has been featured on outlets like CNN and BuzzFeed.

Rebecca Thomas
President
Rebecca has experience gained from several global executive roles in the energy industry and nonprofit organizations. She has a deep background in organizational leadership and people-centered strategy and she is passionate about social transformation, justice, and reimagining the cultural narrative around family, kinship, and community.

Erin Radomsky
Vice President
Erin brings years of finance and HR expertise from evangelical nonprofits and now enjoys life in the tech world. A founding board member, she lives in Orlando with her cat Opal and is slowly transforming her small urban farm.

Christiaan VandenHeuvel
Secretary
Christiaan is a Dutch-American pastor and elected official in California who builds online and real-life communities rooted in faith, healing, and justice. He brings a global lens and a love for thoughtful conversations (and coffee) to everything he does with TNE.

Rev. Darrell Hamilton II
Board Member
Darrell is an ordained minister and Executive Pastor in Boston, committed to liberation theology and building faith communities rooted in justice and Black prophetic traditions. A reader, movie lover, and dad to Kaylani Rae, he brings deep spiritual wisdom and pastoral care to his work with TNE.

Deborah (Debbie) Ramamoorthy
Board Member
Debbie is a global advocate and storyteller who weaves together media, nutrition, and social justice to amplify marginalized voices. Raised across nine countries, she now lives and works in Ecuador, where she co-leads safe water initiatives in Indigenous communities.

Deirdre Catlett
Head of Fundraising
Deirdre is a passionate community organizer and nonprofit leader focused on empowering youth and advocating for mental health. She brings her love of grassroots change—and strong coffee—to her work with TNE.

Juli Beth (JB) Hinds
Treasurer
JB is an urban planner and lecturer at UC San Diego who helps governments design policies that build equitable, thriving communities. She’s committed to the behind-the-scenes work of justice—even when it means “boring meetings about regulations, water, and money.”

Dr. Tamice Spencer-Helms
Board Member
Tamice Spencer-Helms (they/she) is the founder of The Black Modern Mystic, a theo-activist, speaker, pastor, and scholar-practitioner based in Richmond, Virginia. With two master’s degrees in theology and leadership and a doctorate in Social Transformation, Tamice’s work merges spiritual practice, cultural critique, and liberative theology.

Billie Hoard
Board Member
Billie Hoard is a trans woman, a high school history teacher, an author, and something of an Anabaptist radical. A consummate generalist, she holds an MA in liberal arts from St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland, and she writes on topics ranging from fairy tales and C. S. Lewis to theology and philosophy.
